Product Manager-European Defined Contributions - Northern Trust

The selected candidate will be responsible for executing the strategy for the Defined Contributions Pensions Product across Europe with responsibilities that include:

• Performing launches and post launch assessments/recommendations.
• Responsible for Product Management Lifecycle activities such as defining the target client segment market and evaluating industry trends and uncovering opportunities.
• Developing market insight by defining the target client segment markets and evaluating European Defined Contribution industry trends.
• Formulating strategy for the group by aligning cross functional teams, uncovering opportunities and determining life cycle states.
• Shaping the value proposition, developing the business case and defining the marketing mix model as part of the new product planning process.
• Leading in introducing new products to the market by securing regulatory approvals, publishing marketing material and conducting sales training.
• Assessing industry movement and refining value based pricing post the launch of new product.
• Attending and presenting at industry events and publishing in industry publications.
• Providing sales support including presenting at client and prospect meetings.
• Creating strategies for cross-program coordination and go-to market rollouts.
• Carrying out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
• Displaying a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
• Conducting post launch audits, tracking product success, analysing planning, analysis, design and governance.

Strong knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment. Leadership and organizational skills to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
