Position Overview
The Payment Operations Manager is accountable for delivering operational excellence, modernization, and continuous improvement of the Payment Operations (sub‑Capability) group within Payment Services. Reporting to the Global Payment Services Capability Owner, the Manager leads a global team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payment transactions across Northern Trust direct and indirect clearing channels, managing the payment lifecycle, and ensuring processes, technology, and people are aligned to deliver high‑quality outcomes in a controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to define and communicate the vision and roadmap for the sub‑Capability, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and client needs.
- Champion modernization and innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and drive productivity.
- Partner across functions supporting the sub‑Capability, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and future‑ready.
- Responsible for delivery of daily operations, ensuring a resilient and globally consistent operating model.
- Maintain operational processes, controls and oversight to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Maintain a robust control environment aligned to enterprise risk and compliance frameworks.
