THE ROLE
- Provides outsourced MLRO/MLCO services to our clients.
- Advises and assists our clients on applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards, regulatory reporting, including keeping them informed of regulatory developments or changes.
- Participates in developing Compliance programs and acts as a contact point within the Client Compliance Services Team for Compliance inquiries from Internal Partners.
- Maintains PEP register, Authorises PEP transaction clearance. Provide PEP Regulatory reporting.
- Provides Transaction Monitoring, Quality Control/Quality Assurance and associated reporting.
- Conducts and signs off on monthly outsourcing oversight and QC testing of offshore locations providing AML services.
- Participates in establishing written guidance on the appropriate implementation of Compliance programs and laws, regulations, rules and standards, through policies and procedures and other documents, such as Compliance manuals, internal codes of conduct and practice guidelines.
- Identifies, measures, and documents Compliance risk to enhance Compliance risk assessments and assess the appropriateness of Compliance procedures and guidelines.
- Identifies situations which may pose significant Compliance risk and guides Clients in developing policies and/or procedures that minimize risk.
- Interacts with business partners, regulators, and internal and external auditors on regulatory topics.
- Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of Compliance risk avoidance.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for regulatory Compliance matters.
- Mentor junior level employees and review the work of others.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable GFSC laws and regulations, acquired through formal education and work experience, is required.
- Analytical and communication skills are necessary to consult with and communicate information to clients at board level and internal Partners; to analyse and summarise information; and to apply laws and regulations to the Company's business.
Experience:
- Several years experience, preferably in Compliance or risk management; or equivalent related experience.
