Overview

In this role you lead the Guernsey Fund Administration/Transfer Agency function within the Private Capital team, shaping end-to-end TA service delivery and governance. You will oversee offshore outsourcing relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality investor servicing. The position focuses on scalable processes, risk controls, and client outcomes in a multi-jurisdictional model. You’ll drive continuous improvement and act as a primary point of contact for TA matters in Guernsey, contributing to Northern Trust’s One NT vision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Fund Administration/Transfer Agency services in Guernsey, ensuring quality and client outcomes
  • Own end-to-end TA operations for Guernsey/in-sourced funds, monitoring SLAs and regulatory compliance
  • Manage Outsourcing governance for offshore/outsourced TA processes, SLAs, and KPI reviews
  • Ensure regulatory and control compliance including GFSC, AML/KYC, and data protection standards
  • Act as escalation point for TA matters and engage with clients, RM/CS teams, and regulators
  • Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Payments, and global PCA leadership to deliver an integrated service model
  • Lead and develop the Guernsey TA team, manage resource planning, training, and performance
  • Drive operational resilience and change initiatives, including workflow automation and system enhancements

Key requirements

  • Extensive TA/Fund Administration experience, ideally in private equity or alternative assets
  • Experience managing TA operations across onshore-offshore or outsourced models
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills with senior-level collaboration
  • In-depth knowledge of fund industry regulations (GFSC, AML/KYC, FATCA/CRS, data protection) in Guernsey
  • Strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • People leadership experience across multiple locations; senior manager level preferred
  • Professional qualifications such as ICSA or similar
  • Familiarity with relevant industry systems and technologies
