Role/Department

We are looking for an Operations professional to join our Agency Brokerage business and provide Operational Trade Support to our Sales and Trading teams as well as servicing our panel of Institutional Clients. The role focuses on the Post-Trade life-cycle, from Trade Allocation to Pre-matching & Settlements across Global Markets working with a range of asset types and the reconciliations inherent to the activity.

The ideal candidate has specific knowledge and expertise typically gained through experience. They are expected to continue to build knowledge of the company, processes and clients and perform a range of assignments related to job discipline.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Analyses practical solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedent, applying them both to day-to-day problem solving, as well as forward-looking process enhancement.
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Works within guidelines and policies, with a risk aware & averse mindset.
  • Manages the Operational setup for client and broker onboarding, ensuring the process is followed in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance of Client Static data, including confirmation set up, commission rates in various markets, sub-account setup, booking preferences per market and client settlement instructions.
  • Daily activities will include post-trade processing, following the lifecycle of a transaction from allocation through to settlement, as well as reconciliations.
  • Processing of full post-trade lifecycle for Equities, Fixed Income, and Exchange Traded Derivatives & Options.
  • Manages internal and external party queries, such as from clients, counterparties, internal stakeholders.
  • Matching and Settlement, closely monitors both market-side and client-side trade matching and settlement, resolving issues with clients and execution brokers, fixing mismatches and ensuring that settlement rates remain as close to 100% as possible in all markets.
  • Reconciliation and Position Management - ensures that as an agency broker, all of our accounts are flat of position and Profit & Loss at end of day, and that any error positions are documented and accounted for in accordance with regulations.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Has specific Brokerage Operations knowledge or expertise typically gained through education or equivalent experience.
  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline.
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Ability to perform and deliver under strict deadlines.
  • Has an understanding of regional regulatory requirements, as well as business and industry risk frameworks.
  • Applies internal and industry best practices.
  • Inclusive and collaborative mindset, thrives working within a vibrant team.
  • Prior industry experience required, within Middle to Back-Office Operations, and with instruments such as Equities, Fixed Income, and Exchange Traded Derivatives & Options.
