The Northern Territory Public Health Network - Rural Workforce Agency is recruiting experienced GPs from the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand to join primary healthcare services across Australia's Northern Territory. Opportunities are available across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), private general practices and multidisciplinary primary healthcare organisations, with a particular focus on communities experiencing the greatest workforce need. Eligible candidates can access the Medical Board of Australias Expedited Specialist pathway, providing access to specialist registration in Australia. What you'll do As a GP, you'll: deliver high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare across a diverse range of communities work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals within multidisciplinary teams build long-term relationships with patients and contribute to improved health outcomes enjoy a broad scope of practice and opportunities to develop your clinical skills support sustainable healthcare delivery in metropolitan, regional and remote communities across the Northern Territory. You may be eligible if you: hold an approved specialist GP qualification from: the United Kingdom Ireland New Zealand meet the Australian Medical Councils (AMC) approved qualification requirements meet the requirements to apply for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) meet the Medical Board of Australias registration standards in English language skills, recency of practice and criminal history are interested in working in the Northern Territory, which is classified as aDistribution Priority Area(DPA) meet Australian immigration requirements (where applicable). General Practitioners (GPs) working in the Northern Territory can typically expect competitive remuneration, depending on location, billing model and scope of practice, with many rural and remote opportunities offering additional relocation support, accommodation and other incentives Competitive remuneration.
