Job Purpose:
To use multi engineering skills to ensure that the site and machinery run to their maximum efficiency without compromising food safety, legality or product specification. This will be achieved by a pro-active and preventative maintenance approach together with constant vigilance to allow continuous production processes.
Tasks:
- To carry out preventative maintenance tasks and general maintenance around the site
- Respond to equipment breakdown in a fast and professional manner in order to maximise equipment up-time
- Identify and resolve root cause of failure
- Executing all engineering tasks either scheduled or impromptu
- Accurate completion of maintenance paperwork
- Ensure all procedures relating to personal and food safety are adhered to at all times
- Setting up lines in the morning according to production
- Active involvement in our positive food safety culture
- Attending production lines when needed to aid production
- Knowledge of working with flow wrap machines, metal detectors and ink jet machines
- Welding knowledge preferable
- Pneumatic knowledge
- Knowledge of heating systems
- Knowledge of conveyor systems
- Knowledge of ovens
- Knowledge of turbo temp and enrobing machines
- Work with a positive food safety culture in mind
