We have a team of around 20 colleagues working together in our distribution centre in Lisburn. Position: Warehouse Operative

Function: Operations/ Supply Chain

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Location: Lissue Industrial Estate, Lisburn, BT28 2LU

Role Type: Full time, Permanent - (Monday to Friday 9 5pm)

Rate of Pay: £13.98 PH

Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive fork-lifts as required, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Drive electronic pallet trucks as required, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Prior to loading trailers remove any returned pallets and sweep out trailer floor.
  • Familiarise yourself with which trailers in the loading bays are for loading and unloading.
  • Check with your supervisor the composition of the trailers for specific depots.
  • Verify the racking destination of incoming stock.
  • Check pallets of incoming stock for any signs of visible damage.
  • If damage is identified then fill in the relevant documentation immediately and return to Team Leader.
  • Remove damaged pallets from warehouse to yard as required.
  • Load trailers as required taking care not to damage any product.
  • Un-load trailers as required taking care not to damage any product.
  • Order pick as required.
  • Fill in, date and sign all relevant documentation when order picking.
  • Return documentation to office immediately.
  • Work with warehouse team leaders to ensure the efficient running of the warehouse.
  • Practice good housekeeping at all times.
  • 100% adherence to all Health and Safety procedures at all times.
  • Follow all necessary safety requirements when operating Fork trucks and perform daily morning check and sign off check sheet.
  • Attend any training programmes that the company may provide from time to time.

Requirements

  • Flexibility regarding hours of work & shift patterns.
  • Valid and up to date Reach Forklift and PPT licence desirable.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse operative essential.
