The Role Summary:
- Reporting line: Warehouse Manager
- Location: Variable
- Contract: Full time, permanent 9-5pm (variable with seasonal periods)
- Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience
Overview:
The delivery driver/warehouse operative is responsible for distributing our portfolio of products (crisps, snacks & nuts) to our customers across a designated delivery area of Northern Ireland. When deliveries are completed, you will also be responsible for some warehouse duties, assisting with loading and unloading and general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of products to stores to a world class standard.
- Following all traffic laws, regulations and best practices for safety when delivering items.
- Communicating with head office, drivers and other team members to make deliveries.
- Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes.
- Performing basic truck maintenance, such as refueling, doing visual inspections and reporting potential issues.
- Preparing, loading and unloading the delivery vehicle.
- Providing exceptional customer service and obtaining client or customer signatures when needed.
- Completing any paperwork related to the deliveries and completing reports as required.
- Using additional equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks and dollies, as needed.
- General warehouse duties as instructed by your manager.
Experience:
- Excellent time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Ability to load and unload heavy cargo and use any machinery or equipment necessary to assist.
- Warehouse experience, experience operating forklifts an advantage.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- A clean driving record and safe driving skills.
Requirements:
This role requires a Class 2 licence, CPC Certification, Digi card Holder. Please note, we are interested to see applications from candidates without these driving requirements. If you are successful, part of your induction will involve an intensive driver training programme, to include drivers test, and CPC training.
