We are looking for a responsible Retail Support Technician to perform a variety of technical and installation tasks, while working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship.

Eligibility

Anyone between 16 and 21 years old can start a foundation apprenticeship. If you are between 22 and 24 years old, you can start if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have an EHC plan.
  • Are in care or have been in care.
  • Are in prison or have been in prison.

Responsibilities

This list is provided as an indicative guide to expected duties only:

  • Deal face‑to‑face with customers in our retail store.
  • Diagnose, repair, install and maintain computer and other IT‑related equipment and services.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Organise and schedule appointments.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular scheduled reports.
  • Follow office policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records held in the company’s electronic systems.
  • Provide general support to visitors.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties required by company management.

Wellwood House, Dark Lane, Morpeth, NE61 1SU

Hours

Standard hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:00–20:00, 35 hours per week.

Apprenticeships include specialist training time away from work to gain professional knowledge and skills.

An enhanced DBS check will be conducted in some circumstances. Candidates may need to consider potential allergies if they are sensitive to dogs, as the owner brings dogs to the office most days.

Future Opportunities

The successful candidate is anticipated to progress onto a Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited training course with Canny Clever Group Limited after completing the Level 2 apprenticeship.
