North East Accountancy Solutions are seeking a hardworking Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant to join their team.
The successful candidate will support the finance team with invoicing, accounts and more.
Wage
£15,600 for your first year, could increase depending on age.
Hours
37.5 hours per week, 9:00am – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday with a 45‑minute lunch break, 8:00am – 3:00pm Friday with a 30‑minute lunch break (approximately 37 hrs 30 mins per week).

1 year 2 months.
What you'll do at work
- Preparing sole‑trader and Limited company financial accounts
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing Self‑Assessment returns
- Preparing CIS returns
- Payroll
- Answering the telephone to deal with queries from clients and other organisations
- Scanning MTD related documents

- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon and using language tailored to the audience.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, including backing up data.
- Record transactional data.
- On and off‑the‑job training.
- Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.
- Day release at The Stamp Exchange, Newcastle.
