  • Data Entry – entering postings onto various accounts software designed for solicitors
  • Filing paperwork
  • Maintaining Excel Workbooks
  • Responding to emails from clients, handling queries and requests

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from work for specialist training. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

  • Use standard tools to examine data, identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and invoice discrepancies.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, using clear language and digital media, considering risks and benefits of social media and digital applications.
  • Utilise finance and accounting software to manage data and contribute to routine tasks.
  • Handle data securely, following cyber and data security protocols, including data backup.
  • Record transactional data accurately.

Your training plan

  • Northern Skills, the apprenticeship training arm of Middlesbrough College, offers classes around the northeast.
  • Day release at Newcastle Site (Stamp Exchange, Westgate Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 1SA)
  • You will work towards completing your Level 2 AAT Qualification during the apprenticeship.
