Croxdale Service Station Ltd is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join their growing team. The successful candidate will work towards an AAT Level 2 qualification and support various accounts duties, including chasing outstanding debt, invoicing, and daily banking.
The apprenticeship involves hands-on work and on-the-job learning.
What you\’ll do at work
- Processing accounts and daily banking
- Processing bank statement transactions into the DMS
- Reconciling bank statements within the DMS
- Setting up bank payments
- Confirming customer bank details
- Importing sales transactions into Sage
- Posting service plan information to DMS
- Sending customer statements
- Processing, coding, and scanning purchase ledger invoices
- Raising sundry invoices for intercompany recharges
- Reconciling nominal ledger accounts
Where you\’ll work
Training
Apprentices will spend time away from work for specialist training, gaining professional knowledge and skills.
- Using tools and processes to examine data for transactional issues
- Recognising and rectifying routine errors
- Planning and reviewing accounting tasks
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders using appropriate language and media
- Using finance and accounting software accurately
- Handling data securely, including backups
Your training plan
Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard includes:
- Day release at Newcastle Training Office
- On and off-the-job training
Requirements
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (grade 4 or above). Please share any other relevant qualifications or experience.
