This exciting role within our fast growing company, offers an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will report directly to the Head of Operations, helping deliver outstanding service to our clients.
The Operations scheduler is a critical role managing forward planning and scheduling of security officers, ensuring that we meet contractual commitments to our customers. Deploying appropriately trained personnel to client sites across the Northwest and East regions.
You will ideally already have experience of high-volume system-based planning, preferably but not essentially of people resources, as this position will involve rostering 200 plus employees.
Working 42.5 hours flexibility Monday to Friday.
Salary dependant on experience.
Role Description:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to –
- Managing existing and driving improvement in all employee rotas, working towards regularised working patterns and long-term advanced notice of shift allocations.
- Responsible for the organisation of security officer availability, annual leave planning and dropped shift / absence cover (supported by our 24*7 Control Room).
- Acquire an in depth understanding of the unique service delivery requirements of each customer site ensuring that we can meet all customer scheduled and ad hoc needs and that site specific requests are fulfilled to the customers satisfaction.
- Working with our customer and officers, building and maintain excellent, positive relationships.
- Be proactive and forward thinking in the planning approach to achieve an optimised resource schedule that maximises flexibility.
- Experience and understanding of resource planning systems, to ensure we utilise available software tools and systems to create efficient schedules and generate meaningful reports to support business operations.
- Completing effective handovers with the senior management team and night shift controllers.
- Liaise with HR and the Operations Management team to identify current and future recruitment needs and succession planning goals.
Ideal candidate:
- Will possess extensive experience of system based rosta planning, ideally but not essentially within a security / manned resourcing environment.
- Be a skilled administrator with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent people management and communication skills plus the ability to engage with colleagues and customers at all levels is essential.
- Thrive on finding solutions and problem solving.
