Northern Security have an exciting new opportunity as our business grows for a Control Room Manager. You will oversee the daily operations of our central monitoring hub. The successful candidate will ensure the safety of personnel and assets through effective surveillance and incident response management. Salary: Β£35,000 per annum for a 42.5 hour flexible working week - to be available to cover shifts as and when required.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and mentoring a team of operators to maintain high performance levels
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for emergency situations
- Coordinating with emergency services and law enforcement during critical incidents
- Analysing data logs to identify security trends or operational weaknesses
- Conducting regular training drills to ensure staff readiness
- Managing shift rotas to ensure twenty-four-hour coverage, including covering gaps in the Control Room rota due to annual leave or sickness absence
- Overseeing the maintenance and upgrading of technical equipment
- Vision to look to the future to grow the Control Room contracts and team
- Managing and planning ad hoc works
- Assist in building a pool of zero hours guards to cover shifts
- Escalation point for Control Room for issues on shift or lack of cover
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience within a security or emergency dispatch environment
- Proven ability to manage teams under high pressure conditions
- Strong understanding of data protection and privacy legislation
- Excellent communication skills for briefing senior stakeholders
- Technical proficiency with integrated security management software
- Analytical mindset for solving complex logistical problems
- Be able to provide 5 year checkable history to complete BS7858 vetting and screening
