We are delighted to be supporting an established organisation in the appointment of an experienced Contract Manager to join its team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing complex service contracts and driving operational performance. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will take ownership of key customer contracts, ensuring service delivery meets contractual commitments while identifying opportunities to enhance performance, strengthen partnerships and maximise commercial value.
As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and ongoing management of customer contracts, acting as a key point of contact for clients and ensuring consistently high standards of service. Your responsibilities will include: Managing customer contracts to ensure service delivery meets agreed obligations, performance measures and commercial expectations. Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Acting as the primary escalation point for contractual and service-related issues, taking ownership of resolutions. Monitoring contract performance, identifying risks and implementing improvements where required. Leading regular client performance reviews, governance meetings and reporting activities. Working closely with operational and senior management teams to ensure services are delivered effectively. Managing the commercial aspects of contracts, including pricing adjustments, financial performance and contractual compliance. Identifying opportunities to enhance existing services and deliver additional value for customers. Supporting wider business development and bid opportunities where required.
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship management and communication skills. You will ideally bring: Proven experience managing complex commercial contracts within a customer-focused or service delivery environment. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at a senior level. A solid understanding of contract financials, commercial performance and profitability. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Experience monitoring service performance, managing contractual risks and driving continuous improvement. The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a fast-paced, matrix environment. Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills. Experience within the utilities, energy or outsourced services sectors would be advantageous, although candidates from other commercially focused contract management environments are encouraged to apply.
