Delays happen – but how we understand and manage them makes all the difference. As Performance Coordinator, you’ll be the person turning data into action. By investigating delay reports and supporting our performance teams, you’ll help us recover quickly, spot patterns, and improve services across the North.

This is a role for someone who loves detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being part of the bigger picture – keeping people moving and journeys running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

  • Investigating real-time delays using NTL systems such as Kestrel, IRMA rosters, Trust and other systems
  • Accurately inputting and managing data in delay reporting software
  • Liaising with traincrew, managers, and performance teams to confirm causes of delay
  • Analysing trends to support performance improvement initiatives
  • Producing reports and escalating unresolved issues where needed

About you

  • A good understanding of train service operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working across teams
  • Great organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Experience with performance systems (like Kestrel) is desirable but not essential
