An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Oracle Benefits SME to join our Oracle Transformation Programme, supporting the successful delivery, optimisation, and ongoing management of Oracle Fusion Benefits. At Northern Powergrid, our vision is to be the best energy company in serving our 3.9 million homes, whilst delivering a sustainable energy solution.
In this role, you will support the design, configuration, administration and continuous improvement of all benefits processes within Oracle Fusion HCM. Working closely with HR, Payroll, Procurement and IS teams, you will ensure our benefits offering is accurately maintained, compliant, and aligned with business policy and employee needs. You will act as a functional subject matter expert for Fusion Benefits, supporting cyclical activities such as enrolment windows, rate updates, vendor data exchanges, audits, and legislative adjustments. You will also support testing, release management and any process enhancements linked to the benefits lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the design and configuration of Oracle Benefits, ensuring accurate plan rules, eligibility, and life event setup.
- Gather and translate business requirements into functional designs and configuration decisions.
- Support testing cycles (SIT/UAT), validate configurations, and manage defect resolution.
- Support integrations with payroll and third party carriers, including file formats and eligibility feeds.
- Oversee benefits related data migration, mapping, and validation activities.
- Provide SME guidance throughout deployment, ensuring compliance, documentation quality, and readiness for go live.
Oracle Benefits Expertise: deep knowledge of plan configuration, eligibility rules, life events, and enrolment flows.
Business Analysis: strong capability in requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating needs into functional designs.
Testing & Quality Assurance: experience creating test scripts, validating configurations, and managing defect resolution.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: confident working with HR, Payroll, IT, and third party carriers to align processes and integrations.
Communication & Documentation: clear, structured communication with the ability to produce high quality functional documentation and guidance.
