Analyst – Reporting, Regulatory & Management Information

Northern Powergrid is looking to recruit for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join our Connections Compliance & Reporting team at Northern Powergrid.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of how we report, analyse, and communicate performance across our Connections business. From regulatory submissions to weekly operational insights, your work will ensure our data is accurate, timely, and drives informed decision-making.

What will you do?
- Build, publish, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and Oracle CRM across all directorates in the Connections business
- Interpret regulatory guidance and ensure internal processes align with compliance requirements
- Validate and prepare accurate data for annual and ad hoc regulatory returns to Ofgem
- Respond to internal and external data requests, including those from Ofgem
- Support the provision of timely data for weekly submission for our general enquiries, minor connections and major connections surveys
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate data for submissions
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations
- Maintain documentation and evidence to support submissions and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems
- Provide guidance and support to other reporting team members

Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent in a relevant field such as mathematics, data analytics or business
- Experience in developing and maintaining reporting information using applications like PowerBi and Oracle CRM
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for preparing formal submissions and engaging with regulators.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Degree level education in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Engineering, Data Analytics or Business
- Familiarity with UK energy regulations
- Experience with regulatory submissions, including annual and ad hoc reporting
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple deadlines
