As a Property Surveyor, you will provide professional advice in relation to the Company’s operational land and buildings. You will focus on the high-end cases of Property Management within the company and assist the Property Project Board with the delivery of the capital investment programme across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the company’s operational portfolios including substation sites and Telecommunications facilities rents and income
- Provide professional advice and support on the company’s operational property portfolio
- Effectively manage land and property acquisitions and disposals
- Effectively manage Statutory notices in relation to lease renewals/terminations and rent reviews
- Project management of capital investment schemes, to include planning requirements, engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Instruct and manage cases with external legal firms and surveying consultants
- Meet all compliance matters both legislative and internal
- Assist with the delivery of Net Zero and decarbonisation through appropriate property transactions and negotiations
- Ability to work individually without direct supervision and deliver key department objectives to a high standard
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across the Property team and the wider business
- Proven communication, influencing and people skills and the ability to present effectively at all levels from frontline colleagues to senior management
- Proactive attitude and work ethic and want to make a real difference
- Ability to deal with a demanding workload and manage priorities effectively
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject (Estate Management, Property Related Field)
- Chartered member of RICS or working towards accreditation
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of or experience working in the electricity and telecoms industry
- Knowledge of or experience working on easements and wayleaves
- Experience of sustainable solutions to contribute to net zero targets
