Job Description The energy industry is advancing with investment in smart technology innovation and Northern Powergrid, as the company responsible for powering everyday life for 8 million customers across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the Northeast, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, is at the forefront of delivering a power network that meets the region’s needs, now and in the future. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join our Major Projects department. The non-operational Project Engineer is responsible for the effective development and delivery management of allocated construction projects to time cost, quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Developing HV/EHV projects initial functional requirement into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions • Provision of HV/EHV project designs and documentation detailing the associated engineering requirements • Interface with key stakeholders to develop and deliver HV/EHV projects • Production of accurate and detailed financial proposals for developed HV/EHV design solutions • Producing detailed project scopes and the technical specifications for developed HV/EHV projects • Development and delivery of CDM compliant HV/EHV projects – plant, apparatus, protection and civil activities.
