An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Programme Manager to join our Operational Services team.
The energy industry is advancing and Northern Powergrid, as the company responsible for powering everyday life for 8 million customers across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, is at the forefront of delivering a power network that meets the region’s needs, now and in the future.
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating a portfolio of related projects to achieve strategic goals and objectives such as reducing business risk, and improving services received from third party providers across new electricity network connections, alterations and upgrades to existing connections, and electricity network faults and repairs. The role is characterised by a wide range of tasks that require a combination of strategic thinking, leadership skills, organisational vision, and technical aptitude.
Tasks will typically include stakeholder management, people management, financial management of programme budget and forecast, and the development and management of the timeline for programme completion.
If you have previous knowledge and experience of programme and project management methods and principles and possess a Level 4 qualification or higher, this opportunity is for you. A detailed understanding of performance evaluation principles, good interpersonal and leadership skills, and excellent communication are all essential attributes to success in this role.
Along with a competitive salary of between £57,000 – £76,500 (PC Salary) we also offer great benefits such as;
