The role of Operational Technology Infrastructure Engineer covers a wide range of disciplines, and we are looking for ambitious individuals from the world of OT and IT. SC-level National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role. Candidates will be required to have lawfully resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to support security clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our Operational Technology infrastructure including VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and Unix based platforms.
- Implement and maintain security tooling such as firewalls, AV, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning.
- Support the OT Incident and Change process.
- Support system testing for new releases and assist projects with testing standards.
- Represent OT on infrastructure related projects.
- Implementation of software releases, patches and service packs.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage third party support staff and contractors.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix based systems.
- Knowledge of network communications including Firewalls, Switches and Routers.
- Knowledge of VMWare vSphere products.
- Take ownership of problems and maintain service levels for high profile and critical control systems.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels of the business.
- Highly Motivated and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to focus on and work methodically through problems until the root cause is understood.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum HNC / Level 4 qualification in information systems or similar
- Full UK Driving License
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an OT or IT infrastructure support role at 2nd/3rd Line level, including support of VMWare vSphere, Microsoft and RHEL
- Firewall configuration
- Cyber Security tooling
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- ITIL v4
- Level 6 qualification / Degree (or working towards) in Information Systems or similar
- Service Now
- Experience working in OT or highly regulated environments
