We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst, supporting the Data & Reporting Manager with mentoring team members and providing data insights to support the business priorities across the Health, Safety and Training directorate. The successful candidate must have the ability to work autonomously whilst effectively managing workloads together with leading on digitalisation projects within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HST Process improvements via digitalisation and automation.
  • Provide analysis and insights of HST data, drawing out areas of concern.
  • Work closely with HST Management Team to assist with improvement initiatives and help to drive those through to realisation.
  • Superuser of HST Data Systems (EcoOnline, Cardinus, Telematics, BHE Oracle).
  • Mentor and lead other team members.
  • Ad-hoc improvement based projects.
  • Ad-hoc provision of bespoke safety, quality data / reports.

Key Skills:

  • IT and analytical skills and expert user of MS 365.
  • Good written and verbal communications.
  • Able to design and manage detailed efficient data handling processes and associated reports.
  • Good time management and able to work to challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Excellent collaborative working skills in support of directorate and business goals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2 x A Levels (C or above) / NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Business Management.
  • Full driving licence.
  • IT and Analytical Experience.
  • IT skills - Substantial experience In Microsoft Excel / 365.
  • Excellent customer service and people skills.
  • PowerBI reporting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • BTEC Data Analyst Qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a similar Analyst role.
  • Experience of working with and querying SQL Databases.
  • Experience of working with telematics and/or Health, Safety & Training performance software.
  • Able to multi-task in a different varying environment.
  • Skills - Including large scale data manipulation and mining from complex systems.
