The Finance Systems Analyst (SME) is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimisation and ongoing operational running of Northern Powergrid’s Oracle Fusion ERP platform. This role acts as a key functional link between Finance, IT and wider business stakeholders, ensuring Oracle Fusion accurately supports core finance processes, reporting, reconciliations and control requirements. The role is finance‑led, with a strong emphasis on data quality, ledger integrity, journals, reconciliations and actionable reporting. The postholder will contribute to continuous improvement of end‑to‑end finance processes, support system enhancements, participate in testing and problem solving activities, and ensure Oracle Fusion is used effectively and consistently across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Support designated aspects of the Oracle Fusion ERP lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design walkthroughs, testing cycles and go‑live readiness.
- Work with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes and translate requirements into practical system, reporting and data solutions.
- Support and contribute to finance process analysis, identifying critical paths, control points and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with the creation and delivery of finance workshops, walkthroughs and system demonstrations during implementation and enhancement activity.
- Provide day‑to‑day functional support to Finance users, including query resolution, troubleshooting and best‑practice guidance.
- Act as a first line functional SME, triaging issues and escalating to IT or external partners where required.
- Support ledger structures, journal processes and reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and alignment to finance controls.
- Contribute to data migration activities, including mapping, validation and reconciliation.
- Participate in system testing (UAT), including scenario creation, test execution, issue investigation and defect support.
- Support the creation, maintenance and enhancement of finance reports and data outputs, ensuring reports are accurate, timely and actionable.
- Maintain documentation covering processes, controls, configurations and reporting logic.
- Ensure system and data readiness to support period‑end and year‑end close activities.
