An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Specification & Design Engineer to join our Major Projects team.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and Development of EHV substations Projects.
- Design and Specification of EHV substation Plant (including Transformers, Switchgear and ancillary equipment).
- Design & Specification of EHV Underground cable systems.
- Design & Specification of EHV Overhead line systems.
- Production of specifications for either EHV substation plant, EHV cable or overhead line systems, including tendering and evaluation to support project delivery.
You will primarily be responsible for the technical development of capital and customer projects for our distribution network, from feasibility through to approved for construction stage, using a suite of engineering standards.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in the design and construction of electrical distribution networks up to 132kV.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and contract management practices that include EHV plant, substations, cables or overhead line systems.
- Ability to manage and prioritise work to ensure project timescales are met.
- A full and valid driving licence is essential.
We offer a competitive salary between £53,711 - £73,451 (depending on experience) along with great benefits such as enrolment into our pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working (office or site-based 4 days/week, 1-day WFH), and excellent opportunities for career growth.
