Do you want to help power your career and be part of an evolving energy industry? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Control Engineer to join our Yorkshire team. You will be responsible for planning and designing technical solutions to ensure the network develops to a smarter, more flexible network that is central to the region’s journey to net zero. Along with a competitive salary of between £53,711 - £73,451 we also offer great benefits such as:

Key Responsibilities
- Managing planned and fault operations on the Northeast and Yorkshire HV and EHV network.
- Pursuing safety and customer service excellence.
- Being part of a team of technical and qualified engineers working on a shift rota, coupled with an ability to make decisions and work in demanding situations.
- Effective communication and liaison with field staff, customer services and external stakeholders in planned and reactive situations.
- Production and communication of effective and clear reports to line management, other parts of the business and stakeholders.

- Confident decision-making skills and management of system risk and escalation as necessary.
- Excellent technical knowledge, including a detailed understanding of the HV and EHV network and safety rules.

- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from across the business and wider industry.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of network operations and planning processes.
- Detailed understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and Operational Practice Manual requirements.
- HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of LV, HV and EHV networks and associated protection systems.
