The Finance Manager provides specialist leadership across General Ledger, accounting structures, period-end processes and control frameworks. The role owns the accounting design across Finance systems, ensuring alignment with statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements. The postholder provides expert guidance to Finance SMEs, leads design decisions and supports testing, cutover and operational readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting design including Chart of Accounts, calendar structures and control frameworks.
- Oversee accounting integration across AP, AR, Treasury, Projects and other Finance areas.
- Lead period-end and year-end design including reconciliations and close processes.
- Provide expert input on accounting rules, mappings and governance.
- Oversee financial data migration for GL balances and subledger alignment.
- Lead scenario design and defect triage during SIT, UAT and cutover.
- Govern CoA changes and accounting integrity.
- Support statutory, management and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide coaching and support to Finance SMEs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in accounting-focused SME roles such as GL, Financial Accounting or Consolidation.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, statutory requirements and financial controls.
- Strong analytical skills with understanding of accounting and system interactions.
- Good knowledge of reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Strong documentation, governance and control discipline.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence across Finance and IT.
- Structured approach with strong governance mindset.
- Analytical, detail-oriented and methodical.
- Ability to manage complex dependencies.
- Collaborative working style with strong relationship building.
