This is a highly impactful, customer facing role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working with major industrial customers, developers and energy innovators, helping them connect everything from large manufacturing sites to power stations to our extra high voltage network. You’ll shape bespoke commercial solutions, influence major investment decisions, and play a key role in enabling our region’s shift to low carbon technologies.

What’s the package? Along with a competitive salary between £53,711 and £73,451 we also offer great benefits such as car provision.
Key Responsibilities- Accountable for delivering quotation services to customers in respect to new connections on time and within licence requirements.
- Engage with the National Energy System Operator (NESO) to ensure access to the transmission network.
- Manage the new connection customer experience and relationship from first approach to final connection.
- Proactively manage and resolve customer issues and escalated complaints, coordinating with internal teams to deliver prompt, accurate and customer‑focused outcomes.
- Engage with customers who wish to connect to our Extra High Voltage network, developing innovative and flexible connection solutions to support the transition to a low carbon economy.
- Ensure that regulatory and charging policies are adhered to in respect to quotations.
- Produce quotation approval documentation to an executive level standard.
- Interpret technical appraisal documentation and create effective contracts governing the delivery of the physical work.
- Test technical and commercial outputs against customers’ needs.
- Manage commercial and legal documentation in relation to our connection’s contracts.
- Oversee effective project financial governance and project closure routines.
- Establish, build and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
- Provide oversight and ensure timely resolution of issues and escalated complaints.
- Effective team working.
- Level 4 qualification (HNC, diploma, NVQ etc.) in any Engineering discipline.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Sound commercial judgement.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of the Electricity Industry or other regulated environment.
- Contract/commercial experience.
