We are a friendly, well-established orthodontic practice seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Treatment Coordinator (TCO) / Dental Nurse to join our professional team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient journey. The role combines clinical nursing support with treatment coordination responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both patient care and communication.
Previous experience as a Treatment Coordinator is desirable, and a radiography qualification would be highly advantageous.
Clinical Duties:- Chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Preparation and sterilisation of instruments and equipment
- Taking clinical photographs and radiographs (where qualified)
- Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with GDC standards
- Ensuring compliance with CQC, HTM 01-05 and cross-infection protocols
- Conducting patient consultations and explaining orthodontic treatment options
- Presenting treatment plans and discussing fees and finance options
- Supporting patients through their treatment journey from enquiry to start
- Following up on patient enquiries and converting consultations into starts
- Acting as the main point of contact for new and existing patients
- Managing diaries efficiently to support practice growth
- GDC registered Dental Nurse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, confident and patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- IT literate and comfortable using dental software systems
- Previous experience as a Treatment Coordinator (TCO)
- Radiography qualification
- Experience working within an orthodontic practice
- Knowledge of patient finance options and treatment presentation
