THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who has excellent customer service, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. We’re extremely proud of our craft and will be looking for people in the team that share our enthusiasm and drive for quality!
We also need you to share our passion in providing the best beer experiences for our customers, from welcoming them to the building to the cleanliness of the venue. We believe we have a strong internal culture, and the successful candidate will live out our values of community, collaboration, and creativity. No previous experience required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain a high level of professionalism over the bar and in all correspondence
- To follow event plans
- Be able to safely handle kegs in a cellar environment
- To maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness in the building through audits and close down checks and weekly/ monthly logs
- Assist in the maintenance and development of the venue when requested
- Assisted with all other areas of the venue as requested
- To reply to messages on social media professionally and promptly if required by management
- Plan and assist with whole venue Refectory events
- Managing staff on shift
- To work with the management team to drive up bar standards and ensure that waste is kept to a minimum
- To be knowledgeable and passionate about our product range and ensure customers receive a high standard of customer service
- To be the first point of contact for staff during shifts and manage staff to ensure time is being used effectively
- To take responsibility for bar service whenever required by management
- To take sole responsibility for shifts as and when required by management including site security and emergency situations
- Always create a safe environment for staff and customers
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
- Attend and contribute to team meetings when required and share best practice with the team
- To assist with effective cellar management
- To take charge of deliveries & ensure safe practices
- Contribute to a team effort by completing other tasks as needed
About You
- Possess a positive attitude to a busy work environment, and a willingness to work long or flexible hours when required.
- Have a keen interest in craft beer and enthusiasm for the industry .
- Have fantastic customer service and the drive to go above and beyond for every customer that visits the Refectory.
- A good understanding of the company mission with an ability to uphold company values of community, collaboration, and creativity .
