Our client is a well established, independent craft drinks producer and one of the best known names in its field. Following significant investment two years ago and a change to ambitious new ownership, the business is in serious growth mode, with multiple venues across the region and new ones in the pipeline.
Each of their venues has its own audience and its own events calendar. This role has one focus: making sure something great is happening at each of them, every day of the year. Events range from customer led celebrations, birthdays, weddings and corporate parties, through to weekend long music festivals they promote themselves. You'll work hands on with customers, venue managers and entertainers to bring it all to life, while building close ties with the wider marketing team to make the most of everything you do.
The role
- Working with venue managers to help them achieve their goals
- Working with customers to plan and deliver their events
- Finding and booking bands, musicians and other entertainers
- Liaising closely with the marketing, digital and social media team
- Creating and delivering new event ideas
- Managing the events calendar across all venues
- Managing the business's presence at third party events, such as beer festivals
- Driving ticket sales and bookings through targeted marketing campaigns
- Building and developing a team over time as the venues grow
This isn't a nine to five role and it's not office based. You'll be working in and with the venues to achieve the goals.
The person we're looking for will have experience in:
- Running events or activity across multiple sites or venues
- Driving ticket sales or bookings through marketing campaigns
- Confidently representing a business at trade or industry events
- Some people management or team building experience, with the ambition to lead a team as the venues grow
- Being a generous and charming host, with a permanently optimistic outlook
- Exceptional organisational and project management ability
