This role will report to the Financial Controller within the Corporate Finance team. The Finance Analyst will assist the Finance team to optimise data usage by providing advice and guidance on best practice analysis of past/current performance, with the ability to project future performance through use of trendlines. This will include liaison with key business stakeholders to develop analysis for key performance indicators- (KPIs) and facilitate the development of future financial models.
Key Responsibilities
- Collation of group wide data for preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reports, budgets and forecasts and variance analysis for senior management.
- Design and development of KPIs relating to performance of wider Finance department.
- Participate in both internal and external audits to support Corporate Finance team through collation and submission of data.
- Reconcile internal group and company data.
- Assisting senior management with data and analysis required for ad hoc requests, projects, reports, and research.
- Provide assistance to Finance Business Partners with analytic support and data requirements as and when required.
- Consistently seek improvement to financial processes, controls, procedures, presentations, and reporting.
- Any other ad hoc duties that are relevant to your role.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional Accountancy Qualification (Fully Qualified 2+ years) – ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position, organising complex data into accessible reports and performance various types of analysis.
- Demonstrable experience in preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, process improvements & audit involvement.
- Demonstrable experience in effective team communication, professional mentoring and direct collaboration with wider Finance team and key business stakeholders.
- Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Excellent analytical ability with good attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience managing conflicting demands and time pressures
- Advanced knowledge of MS packages including Excel
