Northern Marine Manning Services are currently looking to recruit two experienced Able Seaman to join Hebridean Cruises next season, February 2026. This is a seasonal contract, working 3 weeks on/off around the UK, mainly Scottish Islands. The vessel is inside UK waters so right to work in the UK is mandatory and candidates must already have at time of CV submission.

Experience Required:

  • At least six months working as an Able Seaman

Essential Certification:

  • Passport
  • UK Residence or UK RTW Permit (if applicable)
  • Seafarers Discharge Book
  • STCW Certificate of Competency (COC) - Officer of the Watch - Engine
  • STCW Certificate of Competency (COC) - Able Seafarer - Deck
  • STCW Elementary First Aid A-VI/1-3
  • STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting A-VI/1-2
  • STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities A-VI/1-4
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques A-VI/1-1
  • STCW Crowd Management A-V/2(7) & Passenger Safety A-V/2 (6)
  • STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats A-VI/2-1 (other than Fast Rescue Boats)
  • STCW Security with Designated Duties A-VI/6-2
  • RYA Powerboat Level (min requirement -2 persons onboard)
  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • Confined Space Entry
  • ENG1 Medical = ILO Medical=Seafarer Medical
