Location: Ardnamurchan

We’re recruiting for a Retained Lighthouse Keeper (RLK) to help maintain three lighthouses around Ardnamurchan (Ardnamurchan, Corran Point and Rubha Nan Gall Lighthouses). This part-time position will involve carrying out routine inspections and maintenance of the stations as well as responding to malfunctions to keep the lighthouses operational. Occasionally you’ll be asked to accompany both internal and external visitors on site. You’ll need to attend health and safety training and complete various online training courses.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a part-time position that would suit a person living locally. Ardnamurchan and Corran Point Lighthouses will require one 8-hour visit per month each to carry out routine inspection. Rubha Nan Gall Lighthouse will require one 8-hour visit every 3 months. Total hours per annum: 207

If you live locally, are computer literate, physically fit (you’ll have regular medical assessments), and in possession of a full UK driving licence with regular access to a suitable vehicle, we’d love to hear from you.
