Student Employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting Roads & Grounds & Horticulture crew with litter control, trash collections, snow removal, lawn care maintenance, outside cleaning, weeding, watering and any other duties associated with keeping the outdoor environment aesthetically pleasing to the university community, visitors, and regional community.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions - extreme heat, cold, rain, sleet, snow, etc.
- Must be able to operate all types of equipment associated with this type of work including, but not limited to, weed eaters, blowers, hand tools (i.e. rakes, shovels, etc.), motorized vehicles including mowers (walk behind and riding), gators, golf carts, etc.
- Must possess ability to perform medium to heavy physical exertion as well as occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
- To qualify for this student position, must have completed admission process.
- Any other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Any candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Pay Rate: $8.75/hr
