The Graduate Assistant for Student Wellness Education (SWE) is responsible for supporting planning, administration, and evaluation for SWE initiatives and programming. This position requires the ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of SWE programs, workshops, and events.
- Collaborate with campus and community partners to promote health and wellness initiatives, including mental health, physical wellness, and substance abuse prevention.
- Develop outreach materials such as flyers, presentations, and digital content to enhance student awareness of wellness resources.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on program participation and effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
- Assist with training and support of undergraduate student employees.
- Assist with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate Assistants must have completed a Bachelor's degree and be enrolled in a graduate program at NKU.
- The successful candidate will be paid $15/hr. and will work an average of 15 hours per week with the exception of university holidays and closures (Approximately $4,000 per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters).
- In addition to the financial compensation, the Graduate Assistants (GA) will receive a tuition scholarship in the amount of six (6) hours per semester (Fall, Spring) of graduate in-state tuition. Graduate students who are assessed tuition at any rate other than in-state will be responsible for the difference.
- GAs must follow all guidelines set forth by the Financial Aid Office.
- Must have and maintain a graduate grade point average of 3.00 or above.
- Ability to work independently.

- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Ability to think critically and analytically.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Experience with or interest in Health and Wellness promotion.
- Experience with or interest in event planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
