The Processing Specialist will provide quality service to the students, faculty, administration, and general public who contact graduate programs via telephone, email, mail, or in person. The position requires a thorough understanding and knowledge in the areas of university policies and general information, registration, academic records, and course information. In addition, this position requires an understanding of all other processes performed in the office in order to provide quality service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Processes incoming admission applications for graduate students into graduate-level academic programs at NKU, working closely with the Office of Graduate Education at NKU.
- Updates the student academic record with transfer credit equivalencies for graduate students.
- Processes and updates changes to a student's academic program concentration.
- Processes and posts course grade changes for graduate-level students.
- Assists with the verification of degrees awarded for graduate students at NKU (i.e. using Degree Verify).
- Maintains the accuracy of the academic record for graduate-level students, with other processing work, as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is a minimum, plus one year of related experience is required.
- Some college is preferred, and/or some experience working at a college.
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suites and SAP.
- Interpersonal communication skills, excellent use of English grammar and math skills.
- The ability to analyze processes in order to improve efficiency.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Minimum Experience: 1 year
Salary: Minimum of $16.01 per hour
