Principal Psychologists (Forensic) The Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) is now recruiting for Principal Psychologists (Forensic) to join their team. Prison is a complex working environment and the role of a Principal Psychologist is both challenging and rewarding. Job Summary The key duties and responsibilities of this role are: To identify the assessment and intervention/treatment needs and agree these with Prison Development Unit (PDU) and Psychology colleagues how to most effectively meet these needs Supervise, lead and support staff within your department teams identifying priorities, allocating resources and support delivery of work activity Eligibility Criteria Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist (forensic psychology) Have at least 3 years relevant post qualification experience employed in a forensic/health environment with experience of conducting risk and needs assessments and delivery of psychological interventions Have experience of having responsibility for the prioritization and allocation of resources in the delivery of psychological services.
