JOB PURPOSE: The post holder regarding all NIHE property tenures will provide an audit, inspection and measurement service for governance and management of Electrical Safety, including the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme and contracts, as well as completion of remedial works, to ensure the NIHE is fully compliant with its statutory and regulatory duties to its customers, employees, and third parties. Ensuring the Housing Executive's Policies, and Procedures for Electrical Safety are monitored and implemented.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • i) Possess a degree or equivalent level 6 qualification relevant to electrical installations Plus 1 year's relevant experience working in an Electrical related function.
  • OR ii) BTEC Higher or equivalent Level 5 qualification relevant to electrical safety Plus 3 year's relevant experience working in an Electrical related function.
  • OR iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND a minimum of 5 years' experience working in an Electrical Installation related function.

*Relevant experience would be, working on Installing Electrical Installations, Testing and Inspection of Electrical Installations, Certifying Electrical Installations, Auditing and Inspection of Electrical Installations, Supervising, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and/or Contract Managing works to Electrical Installations.
