JOB PURPOSE: The Housing Benefit Recovery Team Leader is part of a specialist team responsible for the recovery of off-benefit Housing Benefit overpayments, Housing Benefit Administrative Penalties and Low Income Rate Relief overpayments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- i) A degree level qualification (Level 6*) or an equivalent level qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or Social Policy. AND Minimum of 1 years' relevant experience working within a Housing Benefit overpayment recovery or other Social Security benefit overpayment recovery related function.
- ii) A Level 5* qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or Social Policy. AND Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience working within a Housing Benefit overpayment recovery or other Social Security benefit overpayment recovery related function.
- iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and a minimum of 3 years' working within a Housing Benefit overpayment recovery or other Social Security benefit overpayment recovery related function.
