Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) serves the entire community, a population of 1.9 million in an area of over 5,500 square miles. NIFRS has a proud tradition and history of serving the community with distinction.

The Management Accountant will contribute as an integral member of the Finance team to support the provision of a modern, professional and responsive financial service. They will provide a leading contribution to the efficient delivery of a full range of financial management, governance and accounting functions, including but not limited to, the timely delivery of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, managing the accounts technician and providing support to the Head of the Strategic Financial Management & Business Partnering team on other accounting matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified Accountants, the role comes with an excellent benefits package including on-site parking, flexible working, generous holidays and gym facilities on-site.

Currently 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. Hybrid working may also be available subject to service need.

This recruitment and selection process will also be used to fill future vacancies, a reserve list will be created for 12 months should any additional permanent or fixed term vacancies arise (offers of posts will be made in merit order).
