Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) serves the entire community, a population of 1.9 million in an area of over 5,500 square miles. NIFRS has a proud tradition and history of serving the community with distinction.
The Accounting Technician will assist the Finance offices with timely and accurate production of financial reports, information and reconciliations, through the provision of high quality administrative and technical support. They will contribute as an integral member of the Finance team to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive Financial Services to support the vision and mission of NIFRS.
This is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified Accounting Technicians, the role comes with an excellent benefits package including on-site parking, flexible working, generous holidays and gym facilities on-site.
Currently 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. Hybrid working may also be available subject to service need.
There are currently 2 permanent posts based at NIFRS HQ in Lisburn. This recruitment and selection process will also be used to fill future vacancies, a reserve list will be created for 12 months should any additional permanent or fixed term vacancies arise (offers of posts will be made in merit order).
