The Head of Estates and Sustainability is responsible for leading, managing and developing the Estate’s function to ensure that the University College’s buildings, facilities and learning environment are safe, effectively managed and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities include:
- Development and delivery of the University College’s long term Estates strategy.
- Providing leadership and management to the Estates functions within the College.
- Overall responsibility for the maintenance, repair and development of College buildings and grounds.
- Ensuring delivery of effective cleaning, security and portering services.
- Overall responsibility for health and safety within the College including campus buildings, premises, estates works, accident and incident reporting, risk assessments/mitigation.
- Leading on the College’s response to the climate emergency by implementing the College’s Environmental and Sustainability Policy.
- Putting an action plan in place to deliver on the commitments to meet carbon emissions targets by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.
