  • Job Purpose: Lead delivery of Community Engagement, empowering people to make a positive environmental impact in their communities.
  • Hours of business: Flexible business hours 8am-6pm. Core hours 10am-4pm. Hybrid working policy, 2 days in Belfast office per week.
  • Location: Home / Belfast office
  • Hours / week: 37.5
  • Salary: £26,537 per annum
  • Contract type: Permanent, subject to funding
  • Application window: Applications will close 9am Monday 23rd March. Interviews 2nd April (TBC), in person, in Belfast.

Staff are contracted to work 37.5 hours. However, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful operates a 4-day working week of 30 hours with staff benefitting from a paid “non-working day”. On occasion you may be required to work on your non-working day.

Role Overview

Community Engagement is a key strand of Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’s Strategic Plan. The Engagement Officer plays a vital role delivering Live Here Love Here programmes. They will spend time in communities, enhancing and expanding existing LHLH networks, empowering people to make a positive environmental impact in their communities. In addition, they will support LHLH colleagues deliver the Small Grants project. In conjunction with key strategic partners, Live Here Love Here is Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’s community engagement platform focused on improving the local environment and building upon and supporting pride in our communities. Adopt a Spot is one of Live Here Love Here’s key volunteer programmes.
