Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) owns and operates the electricity transmission and distribution networks across Northern Ireland, delivering power safely and reliably to over 966,000 homes, businesses, and farms. While NIE Networks is part of ESB Group, it operates independently with its own Board and management teams, under the regulation of the Utility Regulator for Northern Ireland. Our responsibilities include maintaining and extending the electricity infrastructure, connecting customers to the network, and ensuring that our equipment is safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. We also provide electricity meters and metering data to suppliers and market operators. NIE Networks does not supply electricity directly; customers receive their bills from one of five licensed electricity suppliers currently operating in Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE Networks) has implemented a new CIO operating model to strengthen how technology enables the secure delivery of a sustainable energy system. The newly established Strategy, Planning & Reporting function ensures strategic alignment, value-led prioritisation, and performance focus across the CIO. Within this mandate, the PMO is evolving into a centralised delivery hub, providing high-quality, digitally enabled project and programme management services for technology and regulatory initiatives.

As part of our ongoing transformation, we are seeking to recruit a CIO PMO Manager reporting to the Strategy, Planning and Reporting Manager. This role involves direct line management of a team of PMO Analysts.

CV and Cover Letter must be received no later than 11pm on Tuesday 2 June 2026. For further information, the Role Specification Document is available to download.
