Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a procurement related environment awarding a portfolio of contracts covering the requirements of Supplies, Works or Services, compliant with the Utility / Public Contracts Regulations.
- A working knowledge of full procurement process including engaging stakeholders, preparation of tender enquiry documents, tender analysis and tender negotiations.
- A working knowledge of standard conditions of contract.
- Strong IT skills with a developed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite & experience of bespoke procurement systems.
- Strong IT proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office applications, to support complex reporting.
- Driving licence and access to a car or ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
Desirable Criteria
- Full membership of a relevant professional body or currently working towards full membership of a relevant professional body.
- A relevant honours degree, or equivalent (minimum 2:2).
- Proven experience of managing disputes and supplier performance issues in relation to contract management.
- A working knowledge of the Utility / Public Contracts Regulations and practical experience in leading procurements related to the construction / engineering / manufacturing or public sector industries.
- A working knowledge of drafting non-standard conditions of contract.
- A working knowledge of negotiating contract terms and conditions.
