The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission is recruiting for a 2-year fixed term opportunity, starting 1 September 2026.
Salary range: £29,137 - £30,870

The function of Legal Services Office is to provide specialised, in-house legal advice and assistance to the Assembly, the Speaker, Assembly Committees, the Assembly Commission, the Clerk/Chief Executive and other senior staff.

The Assembly offers successful applicants for the Apprentice Solicitor post a competitive salary and a 50% contribution to academic fees. It also offers excellent pension provision. We provide a generous 25 days annual leave entitlement on joining, increasing by one day after a year. We also offer 12 public and privilege holidays per year.
You will be invested in and have the opportunity to avail of a variety of learning and development activities, starting with our Getting On-Board programme. You will be able to participate in health and wellbeing initiatives including access to support via our Employee Assistance Programme. We also offer free on-site parking.
