About the Role
As our Service Manager, you’ll take ownership of the service’s strategy and daily operations, creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for adults living with complex mental health needs. You\’ll be the cornerstone of the team, ensuring compliance, driving quality, and most importantly, leading with empathy and integrity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Inspire and support staff to deliver outstanding care through effective coaching, development, and supervision.
- Deliver Outstanding Care: Oversee admissions, assessments, care planning, and discharges—ensuring a recovery-focused approach that respects each individual’s journey.
- Champion Mental Health Best Practice: Ensure full compliance with the Care Inspectorate and mental health regulations, safeguarding the rights and well-being of everyone we support.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Manage budgets, staffing, and resources while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Build strong, trusting relationships with families, clinicians, commissioners, and external partners to deliver holistic support.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in managing mental health services or similar complex care settings.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental health legislation, and clinical governance.
- Confident and compassionate leadership style with excellent people management skills.
- Financial management experience and ability to balance service delivery with cost efficiency.
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Leadership (or willingness to work towards).
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
