Location: Region 3 (Cheshire/Wirral/Liverpool/Staffordshire/Birmingham)

Salary: £25‑30k depending on experience

Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent. Must be car owner/driver and willing to travel with occasional overnight stays.

Reporting to: Head of Quality and Compliance

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide focused support to services, ensuring continuous quality improvement across the organisation. You will offer on‑site and remote advice, guidance and assistance to staff undertaking audits and quality improvement initiatives. By supporting the delivery of the organisational audit and quality strategy, you will ensure that all projects adhere to best practices, comply with established processes and drive excellence throughout the organisation. Working closely with the Head Of Quality and Compliance, Clinical Teams, Regional Operational Managers, Regional Support Manager, Service Managers and other Quality Improvement Facilitators (QIFs), your goal will be to help services meet and exceed regulatory standards, supporting the journey toward achieving outstanding compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Improvement and Audits
  • Provide efficient and effective support as part of the Quality and Compliance team.
  • Ensure audits completed and projects align with organisational priorities, policies and national standards.
  • Deliver progress reports and compliance updates to senior managers.
  • Contribute to monthly governance meetings and exception reporting.
  • Work with Service Managers to prioritise, monitor and complete service action plans.
  • Analyse audit results, develop associated action plans, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to summarise findings and recommendations.
  • Training and Development
    • Deliver quality focused training sessions on‑site and via virtual platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
    • Support with internal inspections, quality audits, medication reviews and investigations.
    • Motivate teams to embed best practices and implement necessary changes following inspections or regulatory updates.
  • Operational Support
    • Support site‑specific meetings and events, including inspections and closed culture reviews.
    • Collaborate with Service Managers to optimise the incident reporting system, ensuring incidents are properly reported and learnings are shared.
    • Assist in updating and reviewing policies under guidance.
    • Partner with other organisational teams (e.g., Learning & Development, Finance, Marketing, HR) to enhance overall service quality.
  • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Prepare and distribute letters, agendas, questionnaires and meeting minutes.
    • Collect relevant literature and data for audits and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Contribute to policy updates and internal events or conferences.
    • Provide support to the Clinical Team, SMT and SET as required.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Drive outstanding quality and compliance across Northern Healthcare services.
    • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of audits, reports and action plans.
    • Ensure adherence to Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and organisational standards.
    • Deliver exceptional service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
